Chapter 1 How does the vet integration actually work? +
When you connect a vet, Stable gets read-only API access to your pet's record through the practice's PMS (ezyVet, Cornerstone, AVImark, Provet, Hippo, Onward). Vaccine entries, lab results, exam notes, and weight measurements sync nightly. You can also push back: adding a journal note tagged "share with vet" makes it visible on their side at your next visit.

No PMS at your vet? You can email or upload PDF/image records, and we OCR + parse them into structured entries.
Chapter 2 Are the food subscriptions actually cheaper than buying direct? +
Same price as buying direct from the brand — we don't mark up. We negotiated free shipping with all six partners, and Stable+/Family subscribers get 5% back as credit on every order. Switch or pause anytime. We never auto-charge a renewal we haven't reminded you about 5 days ahead.
Chapter 3 What if I have 4 pets? 7? +
Family plan covers up to 5 pets at $19/mo. If you have more — foster households, rescues, working dog packs, hamster colonies, whatever — email [email protected] and we'll set up a custom plan. We've got someone running it for a 14-pet rabbit rescue in Vermont. Yes, really.
Chapter 4 Who can see Loki's data? +
You, anyone you explicitly invite (partner, dog walker, sitter), and your connected vet practice. Stable engineers can access aggregate health stats only — never your pet's record, name, or photos, except when you've opened a support ticket and granted us a 7-day window. All records encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). We are not HIPAA-covered (pets aren't), but we mirror its standards. We do not sell, share, or train AI models on your data.
Chapter 5 Which vet software is supported? +
As of June 2026: ezyVet (full sync), Cornerstone (read + push), AVImark (read), Provet Cloud (full sync), Hippo Manager (read + push), Onward Vet (full sync). We add ~3 new integrations every quarter — Vetspire, Shepherd, and DaySmart Vet are on deck for Q3. If your vet uses something else, send us their PMS name and we'll prioritize.
Chapter 6 Is the poop scanner a real thing or are you trolling me? +
Real thing. Real useful. Vets routinely ask "how have his stools been?" and most owners answer with shrugs. Stable's scanner uses a custom model fine-tuned on ~80k vet-labeled images to score consistency (Bristol-style 1–7), color, and content (mucus, blood, undigested food). Photos are blurred in the UI by default, stored encrypted, and automatically purged after 90 days unless you flag them. It has surfaced at least 1,200 cases of giardia, IBD, and dietary issues in our first year. Take that, dignity.
